(Des Moines) The National Weather Service advises people participating in outdoor activities to plan ahead. Mike Fowle, a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Des Moines, says they are still ironing out the final details, but as of now, it appears there could be a couple of rounds of severe storms.
Fowle advises people to follow the typical severe weather safety rules and have a way to receive warnings if they are issued.
Fowle says much of the state of Iowa will be under a risk for severe weather on Saturday.
