(Pleasant Hill, Iowa) An investigation is underway after two girls found what appears to be a human skull in central Iowa. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says they got a call about possible human remains on a sandbar near a boat ramp at Yellow Banks Park Friday night. Detectives searched the area, and only the skull was located. The sheriff’s office and the Medical Examiner’s Office are working to analyze the remains. No other information is known at this time.
