(Avoca) The AHSTW Community School District posted the following statement about the incident at the Avoca Swimming Pool.
On Friday afternoon, an emergency at the Avoca swimming pool involved an AHSTW TK student. According to school officials, the student currently receives medical care at the hospital.
School Officials offer support and counseling to any child or adult who may have witnessed or been affected by this incident.
The AHSTW Community School District, AEA Counselors, and community support groups will be available at the Viking Excel/AEA building on Monday, June 19, and Tuesday, June 20, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to meet with anyone who would like to visit.
