(Adair) The City of Adair’s multi-million dollar water treatment plant is nearly complete. In 2015, Adair City Attorney Clint Fichter recognized the need to improve the city’s water quality issues. He says the city had many improvement needs from undersized and antiquated water mains.
Fichter says work is finished on the mains and water tower, and is now in the final phase of the new water treatment plant. He says the new plant will correct the city’s high ammonia levels and the general water treatment supplied to residents.
Fichter says one more phase is needed to complete, and almost be ready to be put online permanently.
