(Area) The Cass County Extension Office says Atlantic and Massena are hosting mobile food this afternoon. The mobile unit will be in front of the Atlantic High School Front Parking Lot from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at Southwest Iowa Egg at 74877 Clarke Avenue, Massena, Iowa, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A mobile pantry is a traveling food pantry that delivers food directly to families needing a one-day distribution. People from surrounding towns and communities are welcome. Mobile food pantries are available free of charge. Anyone in need is welcome, and no documentation is required. Each car can take food for up to two households at a time. Both Atlantic and Massena will be distributing the same food products. Families will be directed to the Atlantic if supplies run low in Massena.
The Mobile Food Pantry will return to the Atlantic High School and Southwest Iowa Egg on July 12 and August 9. It will return for a third time at the Cass County Community Center on October 11. These dates and times are subject to change. For the latest information, visit foodbankheartland.org/food-resources/find-food/, or call 712-779-3447.
