(Anita) The CAM School Board continues narrowing its district facilities from three to two and eventually down to one building to house all students.
The board met with SITELOGIQ Architectural Firm at Monday’s regular board meeting. Schools Superintendent Paul Croghan says the board began conversing with this company when they started the plan to streamline the district’s facilities.
Croghan says the next step is to sign a contract with the firm next month. SITELOGIQ will then begin scheduling community engagement meetings, and depending on how it develops, the end game is to have a bond issue in November 2024 for a new facility to house all Pre-K-12th grade students.
In May, the board voted unanimously to close the north elementary building in Anita, moving all Pre-Kindergarten through sixth-grade students to Massena and 7-12 at the High School in Anita. This is the short-term plan. The long-term goal is to streamline the facilities into one.
