(Audubon Co) Audubon County Emergency Management says due to current water and drought conditions, the four Fire Chiefs have made a decision to place Audubon County in a burn ban until further notice.
It is therefore ordered that no person shall engage in open burning in Audubon County effective today (June 1 at 12:00 p.m.) except as specifically permitted by Iowa Code 100.40(3).
Any violation of this burn ban is a simple misdemeanor.
