(Davenport, IA) — Five people remain unaccounted for after an Iowa apartment complex partially collapsed Sunday.
Davenport Mayor Mike Matson said two of the five unaccounted people are believed to be in the building. A ninth survivor was found on the fourth floor of the building in Davenport Monday. That came after officials said they didn’t believe there were any unaccounted residents still in the building. Protestors gathered outside the building Monday night with signs that read “Who is in the rubble?” and “Find them first!!” after the city said it planned to begin the demolition process Tuesday.
