(State) The Girls State Golf Tournament will take place Thursday and Friday. Class 1A is in Boone at Cedar Pointe Golf Course. 2A golfers will compete at Marshalltown’s American Legion Golf Course. Pheasant Ridge in Cedar Falls hosts Class 3A. The 4A tourney takes place in Ankeny at Otter Creek.
Sidney is the lone southwest Iowa team qualifier in Class 1A. Area individuals in the field include: Addi Brink (Riverside), Addy Boell (Glidden-Ralston), Kali Irlmeier (Audubon), Kylie Powers (IKM-Manning), and Miaya Fourez (SW Valley).
The Class 2A tournament has Van Meter among the team qualifiers. Competing individually will be Addy Beiter, of Kuemper Catholic.
Winterset’s Jaya West is a Class 3A individual qualifier.
