Updated Results: Class 3A Girls State Qualifying Track and Field Meet at Carroll

(Carroll) The Class 3A Girl’s State Qualifying meet in Carroll is in the books. The top individuals in each event automatically qualify for the State Track Meet in Des Moines next week. The other eight spots in each event will be decided by the next 8-best performances that finish in the top 8.

The Atlantic girl’s team earned an automatic ticket to the state meet in five events, with a possibility of several other at-large spots. The Trojans qualified automatically in three relays and two individual events. Ava Rush won the 400-meters in 59.59 and qualified as a runner-up in the 800 in 2:22.22. The Trojans also scored spots in three relays, the 800 Sprint Medley, 4×800, and Shuttle Hurdle.

The COED State Track will be held May 18, 19, and 20th in Des Moines.
