(Area) Substate brackets for the 2023 soccer postseason are now available for all four classes.
The first round of postseason games are scheduled for Monday, May 15 (2A and 1A) and Tuesday, May 16 (4A and 3A). Second round substate games will be played on Monday, May 22, and substate final games are set for Wednesday, May 24.
Eight teams from each classification will advance to the 2023 IHSAA State Soccer Tournament, currently scheduled for May 30, June 1, and June 3 at Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines.
In Class 1A Substate 8 Treynor is the top seed and Underwood is the second ssed. Each has a first round bye. Treynor will play the winner of AHSTW vs St. Albert and Underwood will play the winner of Tri-Center vs Riverside.
In Class 2A Substate 8 the #1 seed is Perry and the #2 seed is Glenwood. Perry will host the winner of Carroll vs Sergeant Bluff-Luton and Glenwood will host the winner of Harlan vs Atlantic.
