John Felix Pollock was born in Atlantic, Iowa as the 4th biggest baby in Cass County, on January 10, 1977, to Randy Pollock and Deborah McDaniel. He was raised in Anita, Iowa, and graduated from Anita High School in 1995. He then goes on to attend Iowa Western Community for welding.
John started working for his mom at DJ’s Restaurant, then later spent many years working at Henningsen’s. Finally, John spent his last 13 years proudly serving the City of Anita. John also spent his last ten years serving the Anita Volunteer Fire Department.
John met his love, Kendra, and started dating on January 9, 2010, then married on September 1, 2018.
John and Kendra loved going on vacations and being with family and enjoyed trying new things together, such as golfing, playing pool, and finding new restaurants. John loved spending time with his grandkids, friends, and family, kayaking along riverbanks in Iowa, camping, and cooking.
John passed away in his home on May 1, 2023, at 46 years old.
John is preceded in death by his grandparents and his daughter Gracie Ann Pollock.
John leaves behind his father Randy Pollock; his Mother Deborah McDaniel; his big sister Suzann Pollock-Raveling, her children Shawnell Rush, Randi Holst and her husband, Cameron and daughter, Thea, Erykah Raveling, and Evan Raveling; John’s little brother Jimmy Pollock, and wife Sharon and children Cassi Sears, Mathew Pollock, Angela Pollock, Anna Claussen and son Charlie, George Gardner, Taylor Gardner, and Angela Gardner; John’s wife Kendra Pollock; his daughter Tonya Mills her husband Ted and children Riley Mills, Raiden Mills, Ryker Mills, and Rowyn Mills; daughter Stephanie Maxwell and son Zerek John Cook; his daughter Madison Jensen; and his son Joseph Wood.
Celebration of Life will be held from 1 pm till 4 pm on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Anita Community Center in Anita with Rev. Garry DeGeest officiating the service portion.
