(Council Bluffs) Jury selection is complete and opening statements will begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday in the State of Iowa vs Alison Dorsey Trial. The trial was moved from Cass County to Pottawattamie County District Court due to publicity.
Dorsey is on trial for the death of an infant while in her care in October 2019. The State charged Dorsey with First Degree Murder and Child Endangerment, resulting in death.
In the fall of 2021, a mistrial (deadlocked jury) was declared leading to a second trial.
