(Oakland) The Riverside girls have a chance to contend among the leaders in the Western Iowa Conference track meet on Tuesday.
Coach Jared Hoffman’s team placed 3rd last year at the conference meet. They returned nearly their entire lineup and have put forward a big season.
Riverside showed well at the Drake Relays last week with their 4X100 and 4X200 meter relays. The 4X200 of Veronica Andrusyshyn, Carly Henderson, Elly Henderson, and Lydia Erickson broke the school record in a time of 1:45.59. The previous record was set last year at the state meet when they were the Class 1A
runner-up.
The 4X100 consisted of Veronica Andrusyshyn, Emma Gordon, Elly Henderson, and Lydia Erickson. Tuesday’s meet in Underwood begins at 4:00 p.m.
