(Des Moines, IA) — Iowans will be able to fill up their vehicles with E-15 fuel this summer after all. Eight states, including Iowa, battled the Environmental Protection Agency over a waiver to allow sales. That waiver came thru today (Friday). The fuel is offered at 350-Iowa locations. Demand for the cheaper fuel, is expected to rise.
Monte Shaw, Iowa Renewable Fuels Association. The EPA earlier approved year-round E-15 sales, to start next year. That created a gap for this year, prompting legal action from ethanol-producing states.
