(Washington, DC) — The U.S. Senate is taking up a House bill, banning biological males from competing in women’s and girls sports.
Republican Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa.
Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii. The bill passed the House along party lines, with Republicans in favor and Democrats opposed. It is not expected to pass the Senate and President Biden has said he would not support it.
