(Des Moines) Iowa House and Senate Republicans are coming to an agreement on next year’s budget. The proposal would increase state spending by over three-point-seven percent for Fiscal Year 2024. The total spending target is eight-point-five [B] billion dollars, around 88 percent of the state’s projected revenue. As the Iowa Legislature prepares for the last week of the session, budgets and property tax reform proposals remain among the top priorities.
