(Mills Co) A Pacific Junction man was transported to the hospital following a car vs semi accident in Mills County.
The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says 46-year-old Corey Manley of Pacific Junction was driving a 2004 Ford eastbound after completing a gradual turn in the 55000 block of 202nd Street. 50-year-old Arthur Sales, of Council Bluffs, was driving a 2016 Freightliner westbound in the 55000 block of 202nd Street, approximately one vehicle length behind a witness vehicle. The witness stated that he observed Manley coming around the corner “out of control” and the witness had to pull off the side of the roadway to avoid a collision. After Manley passed, the witness just saw a cloud of dust after the Ford struck the Freightliner. Sales said he was following the witness vehicle and saw Manley coming around the corner and was then struck by the Ford.
Manley was transported to Methodist Hospital by Glenwood Rescue.
