(Red Oak) Three juveniles suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Red Oak on Tuesday afternoon.
The Red Oak Police Department press release stated the accident happened at 4:43 p.m. at North 2nd and East Valley Street. Police identified the injured children as a nine-year-old male, a nine-year-old female, and a 12-year-old male.
According to the report, a blue 1996 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by 38-year-old Michael Eugene Squires of Red Oak southbound on N. 2nd Street, broadsided a black Mitsubishi Outlander driven by 63-year-old Melissa Lynne Vansyoc of Red Oak traveling eastbound on Valley Street.
Air transported the nine-year-old female to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with serious injuries. Ground ambulance transported the 12-year-old male to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. A private vehicle transported a nine-year-old female to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
