(Audubon) A new phone system is coming soon to the Audubon School District.
The Audubon School board approved a voice over IP system from Windstream. “The nice thing for us is we will not own any of the phone equipment any more. That will all be owned through Windstream. If we need a replacement that will be on them. From a cost standpoint it allows us to know what our costs are going to be year over year without any surprises. I think the system adds some features that we’ll find pretty useful. We are excited to do that in both buildings.”
Superintendent Eric Trager says the school board this week spent a lot of time on change orders for their renovation project. “We are still on time and on budget for the building project so that’s great news. As we narrow in on the completion date of late August I feel more and more confident saying we are going to end up on time and on budget. We’ll see as we proceed through the summer how things are going to go, but right now things are looking pretty good.”
Trager reports the district has filled their band teaching vacancy, but still has two openings for elementary teachers.
