(Des Moines, IA) — Governor Kim Reynolds can consider a proposal legalizing raw milk sales in Iowa. The state Senate passed the bill yesterday evening which outlines requirements for raw milk producers, such as maintaining records of the drugs administered to dairy animals and the bacteria count in the milk. The measure also requires the producer to hire a licensed veterinarian to examine the animal’s health status every year.
