(Audubon) The Audubon School District’s FY 24 Budget has been approved.
The tax levy rate per thousand dollars of valuation is one penny higher than one year ago at $12.27. “Essentially a flat levy rate. A lot of that has to do with the increase that we’ve seen with our insurance. Particularly our property insurance and our liability insurance has caused us to have to increase our management fund levy, but we were able to find some efficiencies in other areas to keep the levy rate flat.”
Elsewhere, Superintendent Eric Trager reports the board has approved a foreign exchange student for Tim and Jan Andersen. “We have not had an AFS student since COVID and we have a family in the area that are interested in trying create some interest in that program again so we did approve a foreign exchange student for next year.”
The school board approved the list of 36 graduates. They also approved the last day of school for May 24th.
