(Creston) Mount Ayr scored 159 points and edged Atlantic for the team title at the Panther COED Relays on Monday.
The Trojans won six events, finished second in seven others, and scored 150 points.
The 4×400-meter relay team ran an impressive time of (4:07.93). Ava Rush, Morgan Botos, Claire Pellett, and Chloe Mullenix were the baton carriers. The Trojans claimed five other first-place finishes went to; the sprint medley relay team of Hailey Huffman, Jayci Reed, Chloe Mullenix, and Ava Rush), (1:52.88). The Distance Medley Relay, Delaney Hinman, Jersey Phippen, Mariah Huffman, and Claire Pellett, (4:41.58). And Ava Rush, 400 meters (59.62), Jayci Reed, 100 meters (13.64), and Abbi Richter in the discus (104-03.50).
Second place went to Olivia Olson, Shot Put (32-08.00), 4×800 meter relay, Claire Pellett, Claire Wiederstein, Adler Bruce, and Mariah Huffman (10:55.82). Shuttle Hurdle Relay, Avery Knuth, Makayla Atkinson, Aliyah Williams, and Morgan Botos (1:18.56). Reed 200 meters (27.74), Mullenix 400 meter hurdles (1:11.08), 4×100 meter relay, Hailey Huffman, Lila Wiederstein, Nicole Middents, and Jayci Reed (52.98). The 4×200-meter relay also claimed a second-place finish with Hailey Huffman. Lila Wiederstein, Nicole Middents, and Morgan Botos (1:51.94).
