(Stanton) Bids for the Stanton Child Resource Center are opening on April 3, with a deadline for submission is May 25. The current Child Resource Center is licensed for 80 children; the new facility will allow 129 children for families in Montgomery and surrounding areas.
Jenna Ramsey, Stanton Community Development Director, says the new facility will be located on the 22-acre Stanton Industrial Technology Park grounds. Ramsey says dirt work is underway.
The projected cost of the new Child Resource Center is $3.2 million. Ramsey says they need additional donations of around $500,000 to reach their goal. The new building will double the classrooms and allow two rooms each for infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-aged children. The facility will also have a kitchen, break room, and ample storage for items needed to run the Child Resource Center.
The Industrial Technology Park is located directly at three-point Presence locations on the Aureon statewide fiber optic network. FMTC also partners with Midwest Fiber Network to provide a 200-gigabyte redundancy ethernet transport network connected to Aureon.
