(Audubon) The Audubon City Council convened for a special meeting on Monday evening. There were four items on the docket. The first the being the annual insurance renewal. City Clerk Joe Foran says the renewal carries an estimated $10,000 premium increase.
The City Council did not act on the resolution accepting the sewer infrastructure for the new housing development project located near the hospital; however, they did commit to having JEO handle some inspection duties
The City Council also agreed to hire JEO Consulting to provide options for expanding the wastewater treatment plant to handle the industrial capacity wastewater from Waspy’s. Additionally, the City Council approved Petersen Fencing to remove the asbestos and demolish the property at 917 Broadway Street.
