(Atlantic) Twenty boys turned out for preseason practice for the Atlantic tennis team, including three letter winners, that finished seventh in the Hawkeye Ten Conference and qualified for the preliminary substate last season.
Atlantic Head Coach Mike McDermott points to the three returning varsity players, Clevi Johnson, Easton O’Brien, and Nolan Waters, to fill the top spots in the varsity lineup.
Coach McDermott says several other players have a good chance of breaking into the lineup.
Coach McDermott says all the players are hungry and pushing each other.
The Trojans open the season at home against Kuemper on April 3.
