(Fremont Co) A Nebraska woman was arrested following a traffic stop in Fremont County Tuesday evening.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on 2015 Chevy Camaro near the 7.5 mile marker southbound interstate 29 for a speeding violation at approximately 9:31 p.m. Deputies made contact with the driver, 31-year-old Toriann Michelle Russ of Omaha. Deputies detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed an unrestrained child in the vehicle. Russ was also driving impaired.
Russ was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense, Child Endangerment, Driving While Revoked, Possession of Marijuana, and Failure to use Child Restraint Device
Russ is being held on $6,300 cash bond pending an initial appearance with the Fremont County Magistrate.
