(Kansas City, MO) Iowa State earned a 78-72 victory over #10 Baylor on Thursday in the Big 12 Tourney. The Cyclones outscored the Bears 40-31 in the second half for their 3rd win against Baylor this season.
Gabe Kalschuer went 6/11 from 3-point range and scored 24 points. Jaren Holmes contributed 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Tamin Lipsey submitted 13 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Tre King ended up with 10 points and 6 rebounds. 11 different Cyclones saw playing time in the win.
Iowa State has won back-to-back games for the first time since January 7th and January 10th. They’ll take a 19-12 record into the semifinals on Friday. They face #3 Kansas at 6:00 p.m.
