(Atlantic) After a one-year stint as the Atlantic Middle School Principal, Scot Aden is leaving the district for the position of Carroll Middle School Principal. Mr. Aden says he accepted the position strictly for family reasons.
Mr. Aden says Atlantic has been very good to him and his wife.
Scot Aden also introduced the therapy Dog “Charli” to the delight of students and staff at the Middle School. Charli is a two-year-old Golden Doodle female, who has been through the alliance therapy dogs training, passed several tests, and is officially certified.
Aden admits he wasn’t looking to move, but the gentleman he is replacing has been with the Carroll School District for 15 years; he says the opportunity to move closer to the family may not have come up again.
The Atlantic School Board is expected to act on Scot Aden’s resignation at the March 29th board meeting.
