(Area) Scott Suhr, District Transportation Planner with the Iowa Department of Transportation, said they have a busy construction year planned in southwest Iowa.
One of those projects begins next week. Suhr said a bridge deck overlay will take place on U.S. 6 over the East Nishnabotna River 2.6 miles east of Highway 48 beginning on Monday, March 13th.
Suhr reminds motorists to drive safely and obey all traffic signs.
Suhr said the bridge deck overlay on U.S. 6 has 60-working days to complete, but he does not anticipate it will take that long.
