The Terrapins hit a 3-pointer with :26 left to cut it to one point game. Iowa hit four straight free-throws and held Maryland scoreless on their final two possessions.
Caitlin Clark finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists. McKenna Warnock had 21 points, 8 rebounds, and went 6/6 from the line. Gabbie Marshall connected on 7/13 3-pointers to score 21 points. Monica Czinano had 15 points and 8 rebounds.
The other semifinal game saw #14 Ohio State beat #2 Indiana 79-75. The 25-6 Buckeyes and 25-6 Hawkeyes meet at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
