(Lawrence, KS) Iowa State’s 4th quarter run came up short at Kansas on Wednesday night. The Cyclones scored 31 points in the final frame and closed within two points in with under twenty seconds remaining, but lost by a score of 98-93.
Cheryl Miller Award finalist Ashley Joens posted 33 points and 14 rebounds. She made 14/15 from the free-throw line. Denae Fritz connected on 9/10 shots from the floor including 4/5 from 3-point range and scored 26. Lexi Donarski added 14.
Iowa State takes an 18-9 record into their final regular season game on Saturday against Texas Tech.
