(Des Moines) The Iowa House passed Senate File 181, the Property Tax Rollback Calculation Fix.
An error in the interpretations of past property tax bills resulted in a property tax increase on taxpayers that was not intended. Iowa House Representative Tom Moore, of Griswold, said this past week the House passed a bill to fix the issue.
More said this bill is not meant to take away money from local government because in reality, this is not money they ever should have received.
