Funeral Services for 86-year-old Darwin D. Nissen of Exira, Iowa will be held Tuesday morning February 21, 2023, at 10:30 AM at the Exira Lutheran Church in Exira, Iowa. Burial in the Exira Cemetery in Exira, Iowa. Darwin D. Nissen died February 17, 2023, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa.
The family will meet with friends Monday evening February 20, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife Connie Nissen of Hamlin, Iowa; his children Mark and wife Sandra Nissen of Audubon, Iowa, Diana and husband Jeff Munch of Exira, Iowa and Sue and husband Ron Soll of Manning, Iowa; his 7 grandchildren, Amy and husband Skyler wing of Shelby, Iowa, Ashely and husband David Mataloni of West Des Moines, Iowa, Bradley Nissen of London, England, Britni and husband Jesse Olson of Hamlin, Iowa, Garret Munch of West Des Moines, Iowa, Jessica and husband Trevor Paska and Jenni Soll all of Carrol, Iowa; his 7 great grandchildren Maverick wing of Shelby, Iowa, Luca Mataloni of West Des Moines, Iowa, Kodi Jo Olson, Porter Olson, and Rhett Olson all of Hamlin, Iowa, Olivia Paska and Jaide Paska both of Carroll, Iowa; his sister-in-law Patty Maas of Atlantic Iowa, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
