(Audubon) The City of Audubon has agreed to make a significant contribution to the Audubon Rec Center.
The City Council voted on a new appropriation. “$20,000 per year over the next ten years for a total of $200,000.” City Clerk Joe Foran says, “It’s under economic development. They are planning on expanding to a full court basketball court and turning the half court into workout equipment. We feel like getting behind this is going to increase the likelihood people are going to want to move here to have such a great amenity right next to them and encourage people from other towns to come in and use the facilities.”
The city had previously contributed $20,000 per year to the Audubon Rec Center through TIF funds.
