(Boone) Two people died in a two-vehicle crash in Boone County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 5:11 p.m. on Friday at Highway 30 and SE Marshall Street in Boone. Authorities say 55-year-old Pamela Mary Borkowski and 32-year-old Stephanie Jeanne Borkowski were killed in the crash.
According to the report, Pamela Borkowski was operating a 2017 Ford Escape facing south at a stop sign on Southeast Marshall Street. Borkowski entered the intersection and into the path of a 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup driven by 20-year-old Joshua Ryan Lantz of Pella. The pickup struck the Escape.
The three occupants in the pickup were taken to the Boone County Hospital with minor injuries. Boone County EMS transported Pamela and Stephanie Borkowski to the Ankeny State Morgue.
The accident remains under investigation.
