(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council is extending the Professional Services Agreement with Retail Coach. The city hired the business recruitment firm in August 2021 for $32,500. Retail Coach is currently recruiting retailers, coaching the community, helping to fill gaps, and ultimately acting as an extension to the current staff, particularly in how it relates to Retail. The city agreed to extend the contract for one more year for $22,500.
Atlantic City Councilman Gerald Brink says the firm is making progress.
Atlantic Mayor Grace Garrett says Retail Coach has gathered information the city, chamber, or CADCO would not be able to collect.
Atlantic City Councilman Dana Halder said along those same lines, there are opportunities in Atlantic for housing and business.
Retail Coach Representative Austin Farmer recently reported the firm has actively been recruiting 60 retail prospects from retailers, restaurants, entertainment concepts, hospitality, and service groups. Farmer said 30 of the 60 prospects showed interest in available sites and have asked for more information. Six of the thirty prospects see the market potential in Atlantic for a franchise.
