(Columbus, OH) The Iowa Hawkeye women’s basketball team made a big statement on Monday as they went to Ohio State and beat the 2nd rated Buckeyes 83-72.
Caitlin Clark contributed 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 15 assists. Monica Czinano went 11/13 from the field and scored 22. Kate Martin added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Hannah Stuelke posted 8 points and 13 boards. Clark made 9/10 free-throws and Martin was 4/4 at the line. Iowa held a 51-31 rebounding advantage. Ohio State made just 4/25 3-point attempts.
The Hawkeyes are 16-4 overall and 8-1 in the Big Ten. Ohio State had entered the contest at 19-0 overall and 8-0 in conference play. Iowa will host Nebraska on Saturday.
