(Atlantic) Austin Farmer, Project Director for Retail Coach, appeared via zoom at Wednesday’s Atlantic City Council meeting and provided an update on business recruitment. Farmer says the firm is focusing on four areas. One is Downtown Retail Focus.
Farmer is searching for new opportunities and backfilling some of the downtown space.
Farmer says his firm has reached out to over 30 businesses with similar downtowns and is currently located within a 150-mile radius of Atlantic. The purpose is to identify prospective companies that make sense to replicate or an existing business owner that wants to try a new concept in the Atlantic market.
Farmer is hopeful to see some progress on this front.
Austin Farmer mentioned to the Council they have had a lot of good conversations with developers, with three currently interested in the Atlantic market.
We will have more on this on Saturday.
