(Euless, TX) — A pair of recent mid-air incidents where airline passengers were hurt during turbulence has some holiday flyers worried about their safety. Paul Hartshorn with the Association of Professional Flight Attendants says there’s a reason they tell people to stay buckled-up.
He says the winter weather is making flights bumpy this Christmas weekend. Earlier this week, a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Phoenix to Honolulu left eleven people seriously injured after it experienced severe turbulence. At least one person hit the plane’s ceiling because she wasn’t buckled up.
