(Omaha) A Wind Chill Warning is in effect from Midnight Wednesday to Noon Saturday for Monona, Montgomery, Fremont, Page, Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie and Mills counties.
The National Weather Service says wind chills will be as low as 40 below zero.
The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. With dangerously cold wind chills, travelers stranded on roads will be in a dangerous situation. Avoid outside activities if possible. When outside, make sure you wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
