(Anita) Drew Ticknor is the new head baseball coach at CAM.
The CAM School Board approved the hire during their December meeting. “Being able to play for the program and then have the opportunity to come back and be an assistant coach for five years and then be able to step into that head spot is a pretty cool moment for me. I’m extremely excited.”
Previous head coach Dan Daugherty retired following the Cougar’s run to the state tournament in 2022. “I learned a lot. About everything I know about baseball is from him. He’s been my coach ever since I was in little league and have coached with him for five years. Just a lot of little things that comes with time. There’s moments that you don’t even ever think of that pop up in a game and coach Daugherty has something up his sleeve or knows the rule that not a lot of people know. Just being around that with him has definitely helped me grow as a coach a lot.”
CAM has won at least 15 games in 8-straight seasons.
