(Elk Horn) An experienced group of players for Exira-EHK has led the Spartan boys basketball team to an undefeated start to the season.
For the first time since the 2011-12 season the Exira-EHK boys have begun the year with a 6-0 record. “We just seem to find a way to get it done. They don’t every seem to be to worried about whether we are going to win or not, they just find a way.”
Coach Doug Newton’s squad on Tuesday will face a Boyer Valley squad that has struggled out of the gate. “They graduated terribly hard. They had a large number of seniors last year. We don’t know a whole lot about them to be honest. They don’t have near the size they used to have so that should be in our favor. We need to take care of the ball and know the difference between a good shot and a quick shot.”
KSOM will broadcast both games of the doubleheader from Elk Horn. The girls game tips at 6:00 and the boys game will follow.
