(Audubon) A new door will be installed at the Assessor’s Office in Audubon County.
Newly appointed Assessor Janelle Bluml made the request during the Board of Supervisor’s meeting on Tuesday. Here’s Supervisor’s Chairman Doug Sorensen. “Previously they had a security door where someone which someone would ring the bell or tap on the window and they could open the door from their desk. When we moved them upstairs they had lost that feature. I think she wanted it to be renewed or put in the system again. It’s kind of a safety and security thing.”
Elsewhere, the board also approved changes to Audubon County’s zoning ordinance, zoning map, and comprehensive plan. “The are things that have been in the works for a long time. I don’t think any of this had been updated in at least ten years. The Audubon County comprehensive plan I was told we were still working off of one that was done in 2000. These are supposed to be done every five years. It went by the wayside for a very long time.”
Sorensen says there were no public comments during the hearing.
