(Atlantic) Atlantic’s Abbi Richter signed a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday.
The senior thrower will join the Southwestern Community College Track and Field team. “It’s close to home and it was a small school to start off with so I thought it was a pretty good choice.”
She says the idea of competing at the next level became more realistic in the last couple of years. Richter reflects on the coaches that helped get her to this point. “Coach (Bruce) Henderson started it for me in middle school. We always talked and worked on stuff. When I came to high school it was Roger Warne. We always had a good time. Then Matt Best, he was new last year. He’s worked on technique with me a lot.”
Richter says her main goal for her senior season is to qualify for state.
