(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board on Wednesday discussed replacing the Washington Elementary Playground. The PTO approached Schools Superintendent Steve Barber a couple of years ago with concerns about the current facility.
Barber says the district spent some money on an assessment study.
Barber says Synder and Associates presented the School Board with various concepts. The board decided on Wednesday whether to continue to study this proposal.
Barber says, according to calculations, 500 kids use the playground for approximately one-half hour per day for a total of 250 hours per day, multiplied by 176, not to mention the use by the public.
