(Creston) A Taylor County man faces charges following a single-vehicle accident in Union County.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday on HI and Dry Road. Deputies arrived at the scene at around 1:23 p.m. and located the driver, 54-year-old Mitchell Louis Bond of Sharpsburg. Bond told law enforcement he swerved to miss a deer and crashed a 1999 Dodge 2500 pickup.
Deputies suspected Bond was under the influence of alcohol. Authorities transported Bond to the Union County Jail. The Data Master showed Bond’s blood alcohol level to be .287 percent.
