(Pottawattamie Co) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday opened a public hearing to receive public comments on the disposal of county property.
Engineer John Rasmussen said the hearing is based on public notice issued earlier this month to dispose of shop locations in Avoca, Caledonia, Hancock, Lewis and Walnut.
Rasmussen recommended leaving the public hearing open until next week’s meeting and the Supervisors agreed.
The cities of Walnut and Hancock have both previously expressed interest in acquiring their facilities.
No other public comments were made at Tuesday’s meeting. Again, the public hearing will remain open until next Tuesday’s meeting.
