(Adams Co) Three people were arrested on drug charges in Adams County.
Adams County Deputies assisted a DHS worker in Cumberland on October 26th. Upon further investigation, 40-year-old Curtis Penton of Cumberland was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) 2nd Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Child Endangerment. Penton was transported to the Adams County Jail and held on $5,000 bond.
Joshua Haggerty, 28, was arrested October 28th for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 3rd. Haggerty was taken to the Adams County Jail where he later posted a $2,000 cash or surety bond.
Angel Sharpsteen, 35, was arrested following a traffic stop on October 25th for Driving While Suspended. A passenger in the vehicle, 27-year-old Dashawn Procks, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 1st and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Sharpsteen was taken to the Adams County Jail and later posted $300 cash only bond. Procks was taken to the Adams County Jail and later posted $1,300 cash only bond.
In other activity, 31-year-old Colby Hoover, of Des Moines, was arrested on October 26th after Deputies made a “casual encounter approach” at 901 Davis Avenue in Corning. Hoover was charged with Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Acts. He was transported to the Adams County Jail and later pled guilty to the charges.
Jennifer Lyn Ham, 37, of Lorimor, was arrested October 27th for Public Intoxication. Ham was booked into the Adams County Jail and held on $300 bond.
