(Atlantic) The district is implementing a few more advanced placement courses at the Atlantic Community Schools.
Superintendent Steve Barber says some classes include U.S. History, Government, Chemistry, Music, and English. “We are going to continue to look at those opportunities for our students to provide some deep high-level knowledge with these classes,” said Barber.
Barber says students can take these courses for one semester or one year. He says the students can take a test at the end of the year, and if they score high enough, they can get a credit similar to a dual credit they would get at a community college.
